Job SummaryThe PubSec Microsoft Digital Innovation Group (MDIG) is centered on pre-sales consultative guidance, emphasizing added value, a customer first approach, and discovery of service and sales opportunities across the modern Microsoft technology stack for government, healthcare, and academic environments.
The PubSec Microsoft Solutions Consultant (MSC) supports pre-sales activities for the Public Sector Microsoft Digital Innovation Group, focusing on modern work, collaboration, and AI solutions. The role involves adding value through partner engagements and service offerings for education, government, and healthcare sectors.
The PubSec Microsoft Solutions Consultant will report to the PubSec Microsoft Digital Innovation Group Manager. PubSec Microsoft Solutions Consultant is expected to spend time interfacing and building relationships with existing and potential SHI customers, the MS Account Executive team and other internal support organizations and Microsoft. They will assist in the adoption, education, advisory services, and effective use of Microsoft solutions. The PubSec Microsoft Solutions Consultant must be a continuous learner and curious about current and future Microsoft technologies.

Role Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with Microsoft Customer Technical Specialists to strengthen collaboration and drive successful outcomes.

  • Identify gaps in the market and uncover opportunities to deliver increased value to SHI customers.

  • Lead internal training sessions on Microsoft technologies from both engineering and sales perspectives to advance team knowledge and capability.

  • Collaborate with Microsoft support resources to ensure efficient and accurate communication with customers.

  • Consult with customers on Microsoft products, implementation, and adoption strategies to maximize solution effectiveness.

  • Recommend third-party solutions when they best serve the customer's needs and objectives.

  • Develop demos for popular Microsoft use cases to support professional services engagements, licensing upsells, and customer adoption.

  • Deliver Microsoft Partner-led pre-sales engagements focused on Purview, data governance, and security solutions.

  • Achieve required technical and administrative Microsoft certifications to maintain expertise and compliance.

  • Document and update opportunities within corresponding SHI internal tools to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CJIS, HIPAA, NIST, and other relevant industry standards, compliance, and initiatives

  • Experience working with or for Public Sector entities

  • History of delivering MCI Partner-led engagements

  • Proficiency in Azure AI solutions

  • Expertise around M365 productivity and collaboration tools, with a focus on AI capabilities

Certifications:

Certification Required within 180 days of hire:

  • Associate Level+ Microsoft Certification, OR

  • Industry-recognized certification in AI, LLM, or Machine Learning

Ongoing Certification Requirements:

  • Acquire accreditations and meet other training requirements throughout the lifetime of the role

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $X - $X which includes a [compensation structure]. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
