The Publishing Project Manager will oversee and support both business-focused and game publishing projects, collaborating with internal production teams and external agencies to ensure seamless execution across multiple IPs. Key responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables, monitoring project milestones, and identifying risks while clearly communicating goals to all stakeholders. Working closely with product, brand, and cross-functional teams, you will drive effective collaboration and contribute to developing and sharing best practices across the organization to support game launches, content updates, and other key initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and allocating resources for both internal and external teams.
  • Ensure effective communication among publishing support teams, game developers, and relevant stakeholders to align project objectives, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Partner with Production team to coordinate project schedules, oversee progress, and proactively manage risks across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Track project progress using project management tools, monitoring task completion, resource allocation, milestone achievements, and potential bottlenecks.
  • Drive timely, scope-compliant, and budget-conscious project deliveries.
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships across support and development teams to promote seamless project execution, conflict resolution, and alignment on goals.
  • Facilitate and drive post-launch support, ensuring smooth transitions from development to live operations and ongoing updates.
  • Develop and implement best practices for publishing production, standardizing processes to enhance efficiency and scalability across projects.
  • Contribute to refining production goals, standards, and policies, maintaining efficient workflows and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in production processes.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Korean is required.
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager or producer within the gaming industry.
  • Experience working with remote teams across the globe.
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams.
  • Experience with crisis management and handling high-pressure situations.
  • Deep knowledge of online gaming and the broader gaming marke
  • Extensive knowledge of the MMORPG genre and monetization of online, free-to-play games.
  • Deep knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Comfortable presenting complex findings to varied groups in a concise, digestible way.
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable.
  • Strong analytical skills.

$65,000$85,000 USD
