The Publishing Producer oversees game publishing projects with a specialized focus on Shooter or Anime-style Gacha games. In the pre-launch phase, you will focus on strategic project management, leveraging your deep understanding of genre trends and mechanics to drive success. Following the launch, the role transitions into a proactive, hands-on approach to Live Ops and general game operations. You will be expected to dive deep into day-to-day management, stepping in to fill operational gaps and ensuring service stability and excellence. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide genre-specific insights to support content updates and key initiatives throughout the game's lifecycle.

[Responsibilities]

  • Bilingual Communication Bridge: Serve as the primary communication channel between global headquarters and local teams, ensuring all project documentation and strategic goals are accurately translated and aligned in both Korean and English.
  • Proactive Live Ops Management: Take a hands-on approach to daily game operations; actively monitor title performance and step in to manage operational tasks directly whenever gaps or emergencies arise to ensure service stability.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and game metrics; prepare detailed reports on project outcomes and live service health to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure effective communication among publishing support teams, game developers, and relevant stakeholders to align project objectives, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Production Coordination: Partner with Production teams to coordinate project schedules, oversee progress, and proactively manage risks across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Progress Tracking: Utilize project management tools to monitor task completion, resource allocation, milestone achievements, and identify potential bottlenecks before they impact delivery.
  • Seamless Execution: Drive timely and scope-compliant project deliveries, maintaining a high standard of quality across all publishing initiatives.
  • Post-Launch & Lifecycle Support: Facilitate and drive post-launch initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions from development to live operations and managing ongoing content updates.
  • Process Standardization: Develop and implement best practices for publishing production, standardizing workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability across various IPs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to refining production goals and policies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in all publishing and operational processes.

[Qualifications]

  • Bilingual in Korean and English is required (Native or Professional proficiency).
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a project manager or producer within the gaming industry.
  • Mobile game experience preferred.
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams.
  • Experience with crisis management and handling high-pressure situations.
  • Deep passion for and knowledge of Shooter and Anime-style Gacha games, with a first-hand understanding of player experience and genre trends.
  • Extensive knowledge of the online gaming market and current industry trends.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret game metrics and translate data into actionable reports.
  • Proven ability to handle hands-on Live Ops and manage operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep knowledge of project management principles and proficiency in related tools/software.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Comfortable presenting complex findings to varied groups in a concise, digestible way.
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under pressure.
