THE ROLE

Disqus is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated team member to join us as a Publisher Sales & Account Manager. In this position you will manage some of our largest publisher clients and grow the install base by bringing on new publishers to Disqus. This role is a hybrid Sales and Account Management position to manage and bring on new partners who leverage Disqus’s ad supported product. You will start with a book of existing business where you will own, upsell, optimize, and communicate regularly with clients, in addition to bringing on new clients through outreach. You will be responsible for outreach strategy, finding leads, and managing a sales pipeline from start to finish. As well as onboarding and then adding these clients to the portfolio you manage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead generation and business development, including maintaining an accurate pipeline of new clients as well as upsell opportunities
  • Ongoing monitoring of account performance with proactive communication regarding optimization opportunities
  • Relay publisher feedback and advocate for clients with Disqus internal teams to inform product roadmap and business development strategy
  • Collaborate internally with the Disqus Account Management, Demand, Product, and Engineering teams to hit quarterly revenue goals
  • Own and maintain strong relationships with new and existing publishers
  • Provide day-to-day client support as the main contact for your publisher clients – working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Finance to ensure exceptional customer experience

REQUIREMENTS 

  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience with ad tech preferably at a Publisher, SSP, DSP or similar, with interest in developing both skillsets.
  • Experience successfully managing high-touch customer accounts
  • Strong organizational skills, acute attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with a track record of being effective and professional in client interactions and capable of effectively interacting with every level within an organization
  • High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills including data analysis which can be actioned on to produce measurable results
  • Sense of urgency, independence, accountability, and agility suited to a dynamic work environment
  • Willingness and desire to learn and adopt new skills - both technical and non-technical -in order to realize effective solutions for the business
  • Proficiency with standard business applications (Office, Google Suite, Looker, etc.)
  • Ability to travel in person to San Francisco or New York regularly


This is a hybrid position based out of the San Francisco, CA.

COMPENSATION RANGE 

The total compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 depending on location and experience.
