Linkby is a global VC-funded adtech business that connects both established and emerging D2C e-commerce brands with the world’s largest publishers – including The Daily Mail, News Corp, Wirecutter, E! News, Condé Nast, Hearst, Katie Couric Media and hundreds more – helping them to work together more profitably, and effectively, than ever before through its suite of products and services.

As we continue to build out our global publishing team to support Linkby’s rapid growth in the US, UK and APAC markets, we’re looking for a commercially-minded and relationship-driven Publisher Partnerships Manager to join our North American team (based in Los Angeles).

Reporting to the Publishing Partnerships Lead - North America, this high-impact role will be responsible for supporting the growth of a top-tier portfolio of premium digital publishers. They’ll act as a strategic advisor to external partners, and give value input to the future of our publisher ecosystem by identifying new opportunities, improving performance, and deepening relationships across the board.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a global team intent on disrupting the way the world’s most exciting digital media brands monetise their audiences, with a focus on high-quality e-commerce content that sits perfectly alongside publishers’ organic content.

Please note that candidates must reside in the state of California to be eligible for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow relationships with Linkby’s top-tier, highest-grossing North American publishers - acting as their trusted partner and ensuring seamless communication, support, and performance from onboarding to scale

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key growth and performance metrics across publisher accounts, providing regular insights to partners and ensuring strong engagement and retention

  • Take a proactive approach to North American publisher growth, keeping visibility across the full publisher ecosystem to uncover opportunities beyond your direct portfolio of publishers (helping the NA Publisher Team to grow your own patch of business)

  • Collaborate with the product and development teams to relay publisher feedback and help shape future product improvements, features, and platform updates

  • Work closely with Customer Success to identify areas to optimize brand budgets and improve campaign outcomes across the board

  • Identify and support cross-market opportunities by collaborating with global teams to drive incremental revenue and strategic alignment

  • Represent Linkby at industry events and at conferences as needed, helping to elevate the brand and strengthen key relationships in-market.

Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in media partnerships (at a publisher, agency or brand-direct)

  • A deep understanding of, and passion for, publisher business models and their unique challenges to drive both audience and revenue through content

  • Excellent existing relationships with publishers in the NA market

  • Strong analytical skills to monitor publisher performance and identify data trends that will be used both internally and externally

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary range $85,000-$90,000

  • Quarterly bonus paid on achievement of the business' revenue targets

  • Competitive ESOP (employee stock ownership plan)

  • Competitive 401k options with employer match

  • Health insurance: optical, medical, dental

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
