Position Overview

Unisys is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking client CTO to provide thought leadership, shape strategies and fuel growth for State, Local, Education and Non-Profit business across united states. The client CTO will be responsible for developing and executing robust strategy primarily focused on client relationship, contract management and scaling our business and portfolio footprint in existing clients and support new business.

Client CTO is a trusted advisor to Unisys clients with a unique blend of strategy, business, and technology prowess to drive business outcomes. The person should be experienced in leading teams across the enterprise to structure and solution large, cross functional, complex multi-million-dollar deals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic advisor and client problem solver:

· Engage directly with senior leadership such as C-Suite executives across state central IT departments and Agencies as a strategic advisor.

· Shape the long-term strategy to guarantee successful business outcomes for the State, Local, Education and Non-Profit customers understanding the contract vehicles, budgetary cycles, and state legislation mandates.

· Explore, document, and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the client's business, process, and IT environment. Foster new connections and enhance current relationships with clients.

· Partner with world class clients and stakeholders to alleviate their pain points and achieve desired outcomes.

Contract, Performance and Financial Management:

· Manage contracts, modifications and renewals working with influential stakeholders.

· Enable compliance in all the requirements by building and educating a team that understands the details of contracts.

· Review and monitor the account financials including budgets, forecasts, and invoicing. Remediate the risk working closely with client executive and client delivery executive.

· Manage and build the business relationship at multiple levels.

Business first mindset:

· Pipeline development and growth across state and local government contracts.

· Identify business opportunities, revenue streams, contract vehicles and enhance sales for new, existing clients in collaboration with client and sales executives.

· Offer professional guidance and spearhead business development opportunities, including the drafting SOWs and presenting solutions to potential clients.

· Collaborate with client delivery executive to help them estimate accurately and achieve targeted financial results at the accounts engaged.

· Collaborate closely with engineering teams to effectively solution for the business needs to deliver comprehensive outcomes for clients.

Ownership:

· Be the chief ownership officer - owner, and orchestrator for the overall account in strong collaboration with Client Executive, Client Delivery executive.

· Be the sum of product ownership, project manager, agile coach, and technology advocate.

· Be the dependable delivery partner, crisis manager and point of contact for Unisys leadership and client.

· Establish appropriate project delivery teams to achieve desired client business outcomes.

Solution Leader:

· Be Unisys Ambassador to enhance Unisys brand recognition and increase portfolio awareness across clients.

· Shape the path from strategic vision to project delivery for client business needs.

· Proficient in structuring, managing, and overseeing the production of project deliverables, presentations, briefs, workshops, budgets, and delivering presentations to client personnel and leadership. Identify latest technology trends in one or more digital, cloud, AI and cybersecurity services market.

· Lead initiatives to capture best practices, create case studies, and consistently conduct client Innovation workshops.

· Identify the Industry technology trends within the digital, cloud, AI, and cybersecurity services market.

· Participate in industry forums, conferences, events, and speaking engagements.

Team Builder:

· Be an inspirational leader and change agent who guides and contributes to build the appropriate client team.

· Work closely with cross functional teams to guarantee the effective implementation of strategic initiatives.

· Ability to offer and receive constructive feedback to other teams, clients and leadership while maintaining the appropriate attitude.

· Offer guidance, coaching, mentoring, and, when necessary, daily direction for account teams.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Skills and Experience:

The Client CTO has a deep understanding of the client’s key IT and business challenges, focus areas and business objectives, and can specify business value from the client’s perspective. This role requires an intimate understanding of the customer behaviors, drivers and values through data analytics, qualitative means, living the client’s life, plus social interactions.

· Multiple years of experience in public sector / state and local government, education expertise in a combination of advisory consulting environment.

· Previous sales, presales, account management, delivery, and consulting experience.

· Proven track record of shaping strategies, roadmaps and building business cases with the state agencies and central IT.

· The ability to build a sustainable book of business with both ACV and TCV targets. Candidate should have a track record to meet or exceed sales targets.

· Strong relationships and experience with state and local governments

· Demonstrated success in expanding and nurturing an existing client base, including organic business development. This involves cultivating new accounts and clients from the initial stages, building relationships, and fostering growth.

· Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, adept in sales process navigation, effective conflict management, and decisive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Experienced in building, aligning, and working towards common goals.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making.

· Extensive knowledge of software engineering methodologies, infrastructure management, cloud platforms and cybersecurity best practices

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and senior executives.

· Proven ability to navigate complex technology landscapes and align technology initiatives with business objectives.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

· A master’s degree in computer science or MBA

· Proficiency in consulting toolkits and methodologies

Nice to Have: One or more of the following aspects would be beneficial for the role:

· Possess domain knowledge in one of the following domains: Public sector - SLED, Non-Profit, Higher Education, K-12

· Experience in managing, structuring, and running a business.

· Have in depth knowledge in one or more technology horizontal across digital, cloud, AI, and Cybersecurity.

· Industry thought leader with published content, conference keynotes, awards, and public facing content.
