The Company

Versaterm is a global public safety solutions company helping agencies transform how they serve their communities. Since 1977, we’ve been building an ecosystem of intuitive tools designed for public safety agencies, forensic labs, court systems, schools and other institutions. Through purposeful integrations and a selective growth strategy, we focus on improving workflows to help our customers achieve more efficient operations, better service and more just outcomes.

Our teams are driven by innovation, expertise and an unwavering commitment to customer success. As we continue to grow and expand our ecosystem, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to solutions that enhance community safety and transform the future of public safety technology. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you.

About Mindbase:

Mindbase, a division of Versaterm Public Safety, is a cutting-edge mental wellness platform purpose-built for first responders. Our mission is to provide proactive, confidential, and continuous support for the mental and emotional health of public safety professionals—including law enforcement, fire, EMS, and 911 communications.

As part of Versaterm’s commitment to human-centered technology for public safety, Mindbase offers an innovative solution that bridges the gap between behavioral health, peer support, and leadership insight. We're growing fast and seeking passionate advocates to help us bring this transformative solution to the agencies that need it most.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Public Safety Wellness Strategist to lead the charge in building awareness, driving engagement, and supporting sales of Mindbase across North America. This role combines elements of brand evangelism, consultative sales, and strategic enablement. You will serve as both the face and the voice of Mindbase within the broader Versaterm ecosystem and the public safety community. The ideal candidate is a former or current law enforcement officer, EMS professional, dispatcher, or fire service member with direct experience leading wellness initiatives—someone who understands the unique needs of this community and has successfully driven adoption of tools like Mindbase.

You’ll work closely with Versaterm’s sales and marketing teams, partner success managers, and public safety leaders to promote the Mindbase platform, educate stakeholders and customers, and support sales cycles from awareness to close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the Brand
Represent Mindbase at conferences, industry events, webinars, demos, and customer meetings. Share your lived experiences and highlight the impact of proactive wellness support in the public safety community.
  • Support Sales & Onboarding
Partner with Versaterm sales reps to educate prospects and onboard new agencies. Help program managers understand how to implement Mindbase effectively and navigate real-world challenges.
  • Lead Presentations & Webinars
Conduct compelling product demos and host monthly user calls. Develop and lead educational webinars with industry professionals, mental health experts, and peer support leaders.
  • Drive Customer Engagement
Work directly with agencies to support day-to-day platform use, answer questions, and design Mindbase-focused initiatives and marketing efforts that drive user engagement.
  • Advocate for the User
Gather field feedback and share insights with product and technical teams to help evolve the platform. Contribute ideas for features such as fitness modules and peer support resources.
  • Thought Leadership
Speak publicly about your personal mental health journey, experiences in law enforcement, and the importance of wellness programs. Help agencies understand how to build culture-shifting wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a client-facing role (sales, outreach, business development, or training), ideally within public safety or health tech.
  • Firsthand experience in law enforcement, fire service, EMS, or 911 dispatch—especially with wellness programs or peer support.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence speaking in front of both virtual and live audiences.
  • Strong understanding of public safety culture, organizational dynamics, and the stigma surrounding mental wellness.
  • Proven ability to onboard users, lead training sessions, and advocate for wellness tools in real-world settings.
  • Experience using or implementing Mindbase or similar platforms is a major plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former or current experience in law enforcement, EMS, 911, or fire service, or direct experience working with these communities.
  • Knowledge of mental wellness frameworks, peer support programs, or EAP offerings.

Why Join Us?

  • Mission-driven company improving the lives of public safety professionals.
  • Collaborative, growth-oriented culture within a leading GovTech company.
  • Opportunity to shape the brand and market presence of a rapidly scaling solution.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
