Public Relations Manager

We are bringing a PR Manager on board, who will be responsible for developing and supporting our storytelling across business and consumer. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding our relationships across strategic partners and press outlets. This position will report to the SVP, Marketing.
Day to Day:
- Conduct media outreach to increase awareness and interest in MeUndies
- Respond to media requests and coordinate PR opportunities for the company
- Create press releases and other PR materials to promote product launches, awards, and other company news as needed.
- Support content development ideas for social media channels, monitor for customer and industry mentions, and coordinate engagement efforts when appropriate
- Research conferences relevant for executive speaking engagements
- Develop editorial calendar throughout the year, not just during seasonality
- Create and update media lists, cultivate new media opportunities
- Work with external PR agency to drive activation, causal awareness and overall strategy
- Assist with monitoring for awards and rankings opportunities, and work with marketing team on drafting, proofing and applying for nominations.
- Collaborate with both leadership and team members on projects and tasks.
- Attend necessary team meetings and participate in events as part of the overall team.
You have:
- BA in Public Relations, Communications, related field or relevant experience required
- 4-6 years of experience in a combination of agency and/or an in-house PR capacity in the e-commerce or technology industry
- Ability to manage and work in tandem with agencies to optimize PR efforts across business and consumer side press.
- Proficient with PR measurement tools.
- Experience writing press releases, developing and executing strategic communications plans and initiatives and hands on experience managing media relations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Extremely organized and detail oriented! Can manage multiple things at once and are structured about your work
- Ability to develop creative and effective approaches to difficult communications challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with a willingness to work odd hours, long hours, and weekends as needed.
- Experience in management of press tours, trade shows, exhibitions, and other events.
- Proficient with social media and community building efforts.
- Proficient with PR measurement tools.
