At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the Proposal Manager III opportunity allows you to join our ambitious team and help develop top-notch proposals for our Biologics Drug Substance network. This hard-working role seeks a seasoned professional with a track record of success in crafting detailed proposals that fulfill clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities- Generate detailed proposals, including High-Level Budgetary Estimates, Detailed Scopes, and Statements of Work for various biologics manufacturing phases.
- Evaluate RFI/RFPs, ensuring a robust understanding of client needs, and develop technically sound proposals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Subject Matter Experts, Business Management, and Senior Leadership, to identify and effectively implement efficient project approaches.
- Collaborate with clients, offering technical mentorship and discussing our high service standards during remote or face-to-face interactions.
- Lead customer visits, scope reviews, and discussions to ensure flawless contract management.
- Champion process updates and support internal training to ensure the output of quality proposals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific field; Master's or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- 2+ years in Proposal, Program Management, or technical writing roles.
- 2+ years of experience interacting with customers.
- Experience working with Biologics CMO for 1-3 years.
- Proficient in Smartsheet, SharePoint, Salesforce, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- In-depth understanding of Biologics drug substance manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Demonstrated skill in working closely with international team members, such as subject matter experts and executives.
- Success in leading Operational Excellence projects.
- Outstanding analytical and questioning skills.
- Ability to function in a dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Minimal travel required.
