Who are we looking for?

GHD is seeking a Proposal Manager I  to support proposal activities and the development and implementation of proposal plans and strategy.

The selected candidate may be based in any of our West/California GHD office locations throughout the U.S. This is a Hybrid work position with expectations of 3 days in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of high-quality, persuasive proposals marketing collateral and presentations.

  • Understanding of technical terminology, project management structure, and discipline functions by Sectors.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate groups of content providers and deal with changing priorities.

  • Review RFPs and participate/lead strategic win plan discussions with Project Managers and Technical Leaders.

  • Facilitate proposal GNG and kick-off meetings.

  • Facilitate color review meetings, and drive content completion.

  • Proposal formatting, writing, editing, and proof reading.

  • Effective use of graphic and organizational software to create key graphics (e.g. PowerPoint).

  • Participate in proposal debrief and lessons learned discussions.

  • Participate in the prepositioning stage with Technical Leaders. 

  • Review RFPs and lead strategic win plan discussions with Project Managers and Technical Leaders.

  • Assist the Project Managers and Technical Leads to create presentations and interviews for clients.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce/PowerBI.

Clients:

  • Internal proposal specialists/managers, projects managers, subject matter experts, and technical and proposal staff.

  • Interact with members of the North America BD Group as well as project managers, marketing and communications groups, and drafting department.

People:

  • Understand and adhere to GHD’s values, Codes of Conduct, and Policies

  • Develop a strong internal network and contribute to the identification of the best resources for the project team.

  • Be brand ambassadors and coach colleagues to be one

  • Facilitate proposal development by ensuring a clear understanding of the client requirements and strategic win themes.

  • Prepare and lead consistent and efficient proposal kick-off meetings, group status calls, reviews, etc. ensuring activities adhere to Winning Work.

  • Produce the successful development of compliant, competitive, cogent, and compelling proposals through effective collaboration across stakeholders (internal team, sub-consultants, etc.).

  • Ensure high-quality content and appearance of final proposal deliverables.

  • Demonstrate superior teamwork abilities and a willingness to jump in and help others when needed.

  • Accurate application of GHD branding.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

  • Minimum five years of experience coordinating and writing technical proposals for an engineering, construction, or professional services organization.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

  • Proficient in Adobe PDF.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign) and Photoshop.

  • Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee
  • Wellness Benefit- Regular full-term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program. GHD will reimburse 50% of the cost of the following to maximum of $250.00 reimbursement annually for such items as: Health club membership fees, Home exercise equipment purchases, Bicycles, Race, run & marathon entrance fees, Smoking cessation programs, Weight loss programs (i.e.—Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig), Fitbits and Fitness Tracking devices

 

Salary range: $74,405.00 - $124,056.00 based on experience and location
