The Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC provides care for every member of the family, across generations and over lifetimes. USC Street Medicine is seeking a Project Specialist. Working directly under the supervision of the Director for Workforce Development and Education, the Project Specialist works closely with the Workforce Development and Education team to support the grants that provides technical assistance to new or growing street medicine teams, designs and delivers educational programming about street medicine, and conducts research related to grant funded projects. The Project Specialist is expected to support the Principle Investigator in the administration and execution of deliverables associated with their specific project(s).
The ideal candidate is motivated, pro-active, resourceful, and detail oriented. Thriving in a dynamic environment is a must. Experience with data collection and analysis along with strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency with office software is required for this position. The position requires excellent organizational skills with the ability to be decisive and adaptable.
This is a full-time position located at the Health Sciences Campus in Los Angeles, CA campus with a minimum of three days on campus, based on division needs. Travel is an expected component of this position which may, in rare circumstances, include weekends.
Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the design of study protocols
Qualitative and quantitative data collection including facilitation of focus groups
Contributes to statistical analysis of data and generates visual aids or other knowledge products to demonstrate findings
Assists in constructing workplans and tracking progress
Coordinates and contributes to project reporting and developing research materials
Supports investigators on the writing of articles and research papers.
Coordination of grant related activities, events, or protocols.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
2 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
3 years of relevant work experience
The hourly rate range for this position is $30.25 - 32.68 per hour.
