Portfolio Management & Governance

Manage the overall health and performance of the professional services project portfolio.

Review project status, risks, resource constraints, financial performance, and delivery metrics.

Ensure project management standards, methodologies, and governance practices are consistently followed.

Establish portfolio reporting and executive dashboards.

Lead project reviews, risk assessments, and remediation planning.

Standardize project lifecycle processes across all service lines.

Resource Planning & Capacity Management

Partner closely with Resource Management and Delivery Leadership to optimize resource utilization.

Drive proactive scheduling of technical resources across all active engagements.

Balance project demand against available capacity.

Participate in weekly resource planning meetings.

Identify staffing constraints and escalate hiring or contractor needs.

Improve forecasting accuracy for upcoming project demand.

Project Financial Oversight

Monitor project profitability, margin attainment, burn rates, revenue recognition, and forecasting.

Review projects against gross margin targets and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Identify projects that require:

Scope realignment

Change orders

Repricing

Escalation

Executive intervention

Work closely with Finance to improve forecasting and revenue visibility.


Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field.

PMP certification preferred

10+ years of project and program management experience.

5+ years managing project portfolios or PMO functions.

Experience leading Professional Services, Consulting, MSP, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, or Technology projects.

Strong financial management and forecasting experience.

Demonstrated experience managing resource planning and utilization.

Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.

Preferred

PMO leadership experience.

Experience with Autotask, PSA platforms, Power BI, Microsoft Project, or similar systems.

PgMP, PMI-ACP, or additional portfolio management certifications.

Experience in managed services or cybersecurity organizations.

Highly adaptable within a fast-growing technology services company.
