Essential Functions and Abilities Required:
- Lead the project teams by challenging and supporting all internal and external members
- Cultivate teams that are tough, effective, and built on deep trust
- Develop and mentor Project Engineers
- Understand all project scopes, building processes, and systems based on past experiences
- Oversee risk management functions including contract review and deliverables, writing, and issuing subcontracts, and insurance certifications
- Oversee cost control functions including change management, billings, forecasting and budgeting
- Complete monthly progress reports
- Work with Superintendent to update construction schedule and communicate project schedule and impacts to the Owner on a regular basis
- Prioritize and delegate critical items to all team members
- Accountable for successful project completion, building lasting client relationships
Knowledge and Skills:
- Risk Management - In depth knowledge of contracts, insurance, and deliverables
- Cost Control - Ownership of estimating, budgeting, forecasting, change management and billings
- Building Fundamentals - has experience in Commercial Construction means and methods. Possesses strong construction knowledge, plan reading abilities, and foundation for executing project controls.
- Safety - is competent and knowledgeable of all major construction hazards through past training and experience. Has the ability to effectively identify hazardous conditions and unsafe acts or practices. Can implement effective solutions to remedy construction hazards and lead a strong culture of safety on a jobsite.
Education / Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Project Engineer or Manager.
- Experience should be in Commercial Construction, preferably in Health Care (OSHPD), Life Sciences, Higher Education, and Office Improvements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, PM Software (Procore), and scheduling software (Microsoft Project).
- Interpersonal Skills - ability to engage with clients, internal team members, and trade contractors in a constructive, productive way to overcome obstacles and achieve results

The base pay range for this role is $85,000 – $120,000 per year.
