The Professional Services Project Manager is responsible for leading client facing technology consulting engagements from initiation through closure. This role serves as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and customer communication, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations and PMO standards. The Project Manager partners closely with customers, delivery engineers, architects, sales, and finance teams to drive successful outcomes across a portfolio of Professional Services engagements. ‑facing technology consulting engagements from initiation through closure. Key Responsibilities


Project Delivery & Execution

  • Create, maintain, and publish detailed project plans and schedules aligned to Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, recurring status meetings, and milestone reviews with customers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate cross functional delivery resources, including engineers, architects, consultants, and third-party vendors. ‑functional delivery resources, including engineers, architects, consultants, and third‑party vendors.


Financial Management

  • Manage project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis (budget vs. actuals).
  • Track billable milestones, ensure timely invoicing events, and partner with finance to address unbilled or aging revenue.
  • Support revenue forecasting and maintain accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.


Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project related communications with the customer.‑related communications with the customer.

  • Proactively manage customer expectations and drive issue resolution to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.


Risk, Issue & Change Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; develop and execute contingency plans as needed.
  • Own issue escalation and resolution, collaborating with delivery leadership when necessary.
  • Manage project change requests, including impact assessment, customer approval, and documentation.


Governance & PMO Standards

  • Ensure adherence to PMO methodologies, templates, and governance standards (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including schedules, status reports, meeting notes, and acceptance records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting lessons learned and best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of project management experience in Professional Services or IT consulting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client facing projects with financial accountability.‑facing projects with financial accountability.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PMP-ACP, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure, cloud, security, or enterprise technology projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.‑paced consulting environment.
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP)
