Manages project delivery, coordinates teams, tracks progress, prepares reports, ensures compliance, and improves processes while supporting junior members.
Responsibilities:
- Manages end-to-end delivery of small to moderately complex projects, ensuring alignment with defined scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinates cross-functional project teams, facilitating collaboration among internal staff, matrix managers, and client representatives.
- Tracks milestones, deliverables, and metrics using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and related reporting systems.
- Identifies project risks and issues; develops mitigation recommendations and escalates as appropriate.
- Supports alignment of project activities with organizational strategy and client objectives.
- Prepares project status updates, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Assists in developing and monitoring project budgets, collaborating with finance to track actuals against plan.
- Ensures adherence to internal governance processes, CMMI standards, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Partners with clients to support effective communication and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Confers with project personnel to gather input, resolve day-to-day challenges, and ensure progress toward deliverables.
- Maintains project documentation including schedules, risks, issues, change requests, and lessons learned.
- Contributes to process improvement by recommending adjustments to enhance delivery efficiency.
- Provides informal guidance and support to junior team members or project coordinators.
- Demonstrates commitment to customer service and operational excellence in all aspects of project delivery.
- Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Business, Healthcare, Information Systems, Business Science Mathematics, or related field preferred).
- 3-5 years of project management experience.
- PMP or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred or actively working toward certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare delivery systems, Medicaid/Medicare programs, or government contracts strongly preferred.
- Developing strong communication and collaboration skills; able to facilitate discussions with project teams and stakeholders.
- Builds confidence in leading small teams or workstreams under the guidance of senior project leaders.
- Demonstrates sound analytical and problem-solving skills, seeking input when issues are complex.
- Effectively manages multiple small to moderately complex initiatives with support from senior project managers.
