Studio AR&D Architects is a Los Angeles based architecture firm that offers a creative and collaborative work environment with a growing portfolio of work that seeks to be both poetic and meaningful in every detail.

Currently, we are seeking a Project Manager who can help contribute to the creative work coming from Studio AR&D Architects. A Project Manager will have the responsibility of guiding the production team through the project timeline and consistently deliver and meet deadlines. The Project Manager shall have experience guiding a team through all phases of design and documentation including the overall coordination of consultants, clients, and internal architectural teams. Ultimately the Project Manager shall act as the overseer of a project’s health and progress, coordinating all of the parties involved. The selected candidate shall benefit from a dynamic work environment and challenging project tasks and responsibilities. 

Responsibilities -

  • Lead Project Team
  • Maintain primary communication with client
  • Coordinate architectural design and building systems with engineering consultants
  • Produce and develop technical drawings and details with minimum supervision
  • Organize drawing sets and oversee team in completing all submissions
  • Perform filing, code, and zoning analyses for multiple municipalities and related zoning ordinances
  • Survey and document existing conditions in the field
  • Communicate and coordinate with external and internal team members
  • Research construction materials and systems
  • Responsibility over project budget, staffing, and scheduling 
  • Experience working with a project team and consultants in schematic design through construction administration

Requirements –

  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 7-10 years of post-bachelor's degree Architecture firm experience
  • Experience in design and detailing projects through construction documentation
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in 3d modeling software strongly preferred (Sketchup, Rhino)
  • Experience in guiding the production team through project timeline
  • Significant experience in high end Single Family Residential projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience interacting with clients and organizing projects
  • An ability to work closely with firm principal and production team from schematic design through construction documentation
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and a mastery of organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage client/consultant communication
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and deliver
  • Mentoring junior staff
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in modern & contemporary architecture
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites upon request
  • Licensure preferred, but not conditional
  • Report directly to firm principal with routine scheduling updates and planning, design coordination, etc. 
  • Participate in overall firm business development procedures and planning strategies related to firm growth
