Our firm is currently hiring a Project Manager based in Alhambra, CA. The Project Manager position will successfully support Parks & Rec project types on behalf of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. This is an outstanding opportunity to bring your specialized construction expertise to an industry leading team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-construction activities for multiple projects including the formulation of the design, bid, and project phase scheduling of the assigned project(s). 

  • Provide update/status reporting for work in progress including costs and schedules. 

  • Administer Project sub-contracts. 

  • Facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes. 

  • Maintain accurate records. 

  • Conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy. 

  • Manage various aspects of the construction lifecycle including constructability reviews, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, and execution.

  • Support the Addenda and Bid process. 

  • Conduct pre-bid and job start meetings. 

  • Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented. 

  • Perform QA/QC process. 

  • Review and manage the change order process for completeness and conformance to company and client standards. 

  • Manage RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team. 

  • Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Attendance at work during normal business hours. 

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery methods.

  • Ability to lead site meetings.

  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholders, internal and ex

  • Ability to read blueprints. 

  • Utilize effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience in project construction management.

  • Prior experience with JOC project delivery method highly preferred.

  • Prior experience with public contracting process and procedures highly preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $106,800.00-$142,400.02 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
