The Opportunity

The Project Manager, Supply Chain position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.

We are seeking a high caliber and ambitious Project Manager. The Supply Chain Project Manager supports new product development (NPD), product transfer and engineering projects and is responsible for managing and executing all supply chain requirements and objectives to support overall business objectives. Opportunity for key talent to develop towards future Supply Chain or Operations Leadership roles in the business. This role will have solid visibility to Senior Management and expectations will be high.

What You'll Work On

 

This position:

  • Manages supply chain program management process and execution for NPD.

  • Engages planning to develop demand & supply plans during the new product development process

  • Engage commodity managers, buyers during the design phase (early supplier involvement) and key participant on supplier selection for the program.

  • Coordinate material purchasing schedules and Inspection releases,working closely with the cross-functional supply chain and supply quality groups.

  • Responsible for  execution ofall supply chain requirements / objectives of NPD, including total landed material cost analysis, lead time analysis, contingency planning and risk mitigation.

  • Ensuring Supply chain material master data in the ERP system is accurately updated before the product is released for commercial production.

  • Represents the supply chain program management function in working with R&D, Operations, engineering and other departments as necessary during product development and launch planning process.

  • Provides key NPD program updates to senior management

  • Develops ramp-up and ramp-down schedule as the product transfers from one site to the other.

  • Identifies & manages process improvement projects that improve customer service levels, improve product flows, minimize supply chain costs and improve asset management.

  • Partners with Engineering, production and global teams on continuous improvement projects.

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels including employees, customers and suppliers.

  • Maintains a safe and professional work environment.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree Business Administration or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Masters Degree An advanced credential, such as an MBA, MA, or MS in a relevant discipline/concentration.

  • Minimum 7 years -Progressively more responsible materials work experience or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 6 years- Demonstrated experience at a supervisory/managerial level preferred.

  • Has multi-disciplinary knowledge with expertise in regulatory requirements for implantable cardiac devices Familiarity with applicable FDA regulations, other relevant domestic/international regulatory document submission requirements, the necessity of working within those constraints, as well as Company operating procedures, policies, processes, and tasks. Supply chain or operations experience in launching new product preferred, in functions including but not limited to demand/supply planning, procurement, supplier development and manufacturing.  Extensive experience in managing cross-functional project teams. Must be skilled at delegation, follow-up, and team building. Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal, written, and presentation) across all levels up to senior leadership. Comprehensive verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential. Documented record of delivering research information that adds value to management's decision making process. Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing database management, and specialized applications. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.  Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

The base pay for this position is

$112,000.00 – $224,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
