Thoughtworks AI Labs (TAILS) is a global innovation and delivery organization that powers cutting-edge AI solutions across Thoughtworks. We focus on driving impact through three interconnected pillars: AI Research, AI Engineering and Specialty AI Services. TAILS is a key partner in advancing Thoughtworks’ global Data and AI strategy and services.
We are looking for a Project Manager to support the operational excellence and program execution within TAILS. You will report to the Director of Program Management and work closely with global Data and AI leadership across Thoughtworks. This is a pivotal role that blends structured coordination, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to accelerate delivery, research, and innovation outcomes across TAILS’ core initiatives.
- Support planning, tracking, and execution of key initiatives across AI Research, AI Engineering, and Specialty AI Services.
- Maintain program timelines, deliverable tracking, and status updates to ensure alignment across global teams.
- Assist with operational workflows including budget tracking, vendor coordination, documentation, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate internal meetings, workshops, and reviews across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with senior leaders in Thoughtworks' global Data & AI functions to facilitate alignment, reporting, and program governance.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies across key stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Help implement and optimize lightweight processes that enable efficient collaboration between research, engineering, and business teams.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and documentation best practices.
- Assist in onboarding team members, managing program documentation, and supporting shared team tools and systems.
- Experience in program coordination, project management, or operations (consulting or tech environment preferred).
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical and research work into structured updates.
- Experience with tools such as Notion, Jira, Confluence, or similar productivity platforms.
- Interest or exposure to AI, data science, or research-oriented environments is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple streams of work.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, distributed, and global environment.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset – you take initiative and seek opportunities to help the team work better together.
