Job Description

Provides professional project management PMO administration services for projects on engagements that run approximately 12- 18 months and/or subprojects within a multi-year engagement. Provides expertise to the project in establishing project management processes in the areas of project initiation, project planning, project execution, and project monitoring. Provides project status reporting, earned value calculations and develops reports utilizing various PM tools associated with the project. Assists the project manager and/or senior administrative project manager execute project plan analysis, identifies areas of risk, assists in development of risk mitigation strategies, calculates earned value and report recommendations. Projects may vary to include the following: system implementations, internal/cross functional department process improvement initiatives, implementation of new state health plans, and implementation of new product lines.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides project management leadership on a small project or subproject within multi-year engagements.

Manages all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs, issues, risks, communications and changes.

Develops customer specific project management plans that include the management of scope, schedule, cost, resources/organization, communications, risks, issues, quality, configuration/documentation and procurement.

Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule to include milestones, tasks, and target/actual dates of completion.

Revises project plans and schedules as appropriate as a result of approved changed requests. 

Prepares and submits project status reports to management and conduct regularly scheduled project status update meetings.

Facilitates the identification and management of project risks, issues and action items.

Facilitates the project change management process.

Communicates with all areas affected by the project to include internal subject matter experts, external corporate departments and customers.

Prepares materials and trains project team members in the use of project management process and tools.

Facilitates and participates in technical / business discussions, requirements clarification sessions, etc. as required.

SKILLS:

Strong knowledge of software development methodology, project implementation methodologies and software engineering best practices

Knowledge and/or experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum

Excellent business writing skills and excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to make effective business decision and to work independently and within a team

Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments with minimal direction

Ability to assess and evaluate internal processes for improvement opportunities

Ability to analyze and organize data in order to prioritize project and process opportunities

Proficient at MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Visio)

Ability to abide by policies

Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work

Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers

· Extensive experience implementing call center projects and Knowledge Mgmt for call center

 · Sr. PM/Pgm mgr with 15-20 yrs. Project mgmt. experience

· Someone who is a hands-on PM but if needed can also present the bigger picture at executive level

· Healthcare exp. Is a plus

· PMP Certification
