Project Manager III

itD is seeking a Project Manager III to support the growth and execution of Companys expanding 1st Party Retail function. This role will play a critical part in driving complex cross-functional initiatives that enable the successful launch and operation of Company retail stores, ensuring operational excellence and seamless technology implementation. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in project and program management within retail, technology, or premium hospitality environments and a proven track record of delivering large-scale operational and systems-focused initiatives from strategy through execution.

Location: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite) in Burlingame, CA; Menlo Park, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or New York, NY

Pay Rate: $40 - $42 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver cross-functional projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution and completion.
  • Partner with Retail Operations, Product Marketing, Enterprise Systems, Product Management, Retail Design, Retail Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements, action plans, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive the implementation, enhancement, and adoption of retail technology platforms, including POS, ERP, CRM, AV, and in-store demonstration systems.
  • Break down complex operational challenges into actionable workstreams and execute solutions in a structured, scalable manner.
  • Track, manage, and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, and best practices to support retail store growth and efficiency.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while maintaining project momentum and delivery excellence.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) consumer electronics retailer, manufacturer, technology company, or premium hospitality organization.
  • Proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects from strategy through execution and delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Wrike, or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with productivity tools including Microsoft Office, Apple productivity tools, and Google Workspace.
  • Deep experience implementing and supporting retail systems, including POS, ERP, CRM, AV, and in-store demonstration technologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project execution skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project/program management certification.
  • Experience working within a technology company or retail technology environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and automation to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience creating store-facing communications, training materials, FAQs, and operational updates.
  • Experience supporting retail store launches, expansions, or large-scale operational transformations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, Technology, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
