The Production team ensures that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the Game of the Year quality bar that Insomniac is known for.

This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with AAA game development, working directly with producers and project managers to learn how large-scale creative projects come to life.

About the Role

As a Project Management Intern, you will support the Production team in tracking progress, coordinating milestones, and improving workflows. You’ll learn how production teams operate within a major game studio, gaining insight into scheduling, cross-functional collaboration, and project delivery.

This role is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving, teamwork, and learning how creative and technical teams work together to ship world-class games.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze task assignments to ensure work is achievable within established milestones

  • Review task progress and remaining work to help keep milestones on schedule

  • Collaborate with people managers to ensure team members are engaged and aligned with project tracking

  • Identify and address inefficiencies in processes, tools, and collaboration; escalate issues when necessary based on urgency and complexity

  • Update project roadmaps and communicate changes in alignment with mid- and senior-level project managers

What We’re Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university Bachelor’s program in game development, production, project management, or a related field, with graduation expected between May 2025 and Spring 2027.

  • Collaborative team player who takes initiative while seeking guidance when needed

  • Aligns with the Insomniac Code—respectfully working together to deliver exceptional player experiences

  • Cover letter is required. Please include where you see yourself in project management

Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between May 2025 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Undergraduate

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
