The Project Lead is a strategic, senior contributor who partners closely with the Manager, Project Services, to drive day-to-day project and service delivery, team development, motivation, and problem-solving. They own high-impact engagements end-to-end—keeping work on time, on budget, and in scope—while aligning outcomes to client goals, managing stakeholders, and ensuring clear communication. Core responsibilities include resource coordination, task and timeline management, progress reporting for internal and client audiences, and hands-on, billable delivery to stay current with best practices and subject-matter expertise.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Project Lead translates business objectives and financial targets into actionable plans and contributes to strategic marketing recommendations. They balance planning with risk management, maintain rigorous organization and attention to detail, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities. In collaboration with delivery managers and supervisors, they oversee workload capacity and support performance, growth, and training. They also champion DemandLab’s project management technologies—refining processes, identifying automation opportunities, optimizing platform usage, and driving adoption. Approximately 85% of this role is expected to be billable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications

  • Partner with Manager, Project Services and delivery leads on roadmap, resourcing, and deliverables.
  • Keep clients and teams aligned so work ships on time, on budget, and to spec.
  • Serve as liaison/escalation to resolve issues and reinforce the value of each engagement.

Client Support

  • Run onboarding, post-mortems, and offboarding to DemandLab standards.
  • Produce weekly utilization and monthly retainer reconciliations; surface insights.
  • Analyze performance to flag upsell/cross-sell opportunities aligned to client goals.

Project Support

  • Own task lifecycle: intake, scoping/breakdown with SMEs, assignment, and balancing.
  • Track team/client task status and utilization across accounts.
  • Prepare and lead project kickoffs to align scope, objectives, and timelines.

Strategic Project Planning & Coordination

  • Build and execute plans with risk, resources, and budget baked in.
  • Define scope, goals, and success metrics tied to business objectives.
  • Stay current on project goals, schedules, and budget (retainer & project).

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow and enforce PM processes to keep delivery organized.
  • Apply best practices; capture lessons learned and iterate.
  • Monitor scope and budget; proactively prevent or address creep.

Account & Stakeholder Management

  • Nurture stakeholder relationships; align work to evolving priorities.
  • Proactively engage clients to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead QBRs with performance, insights, and recommendations.

Risk Management & Strategic Decision-Making

  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans.
  • Use data to adjust strategy and keep outcomes on track.
  • Manage change control for scope and plan adjustments.

Administrative Oversight

  • Maintain clear documentation: plans, budgets, timelines, and reports.
  • Ensure statuses are current in Asana and client systems.
  • Oversee resourcing and budgeting with POD leads; update/close Asana projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years related project management experience required
  • Experience  with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) according to Project Management Institute (PMI) standards (helpful) 
  • Experience in Adobe Workfront project management platform (Certification as Adobe Workfront Project Management Professional, Developer Core Professional or Developer Core Expert) – if not certified, must be able to obtain certification within 30 days of start date
  • Certificate in Project Management (CAPM or similar) (helpful)
  • Experience in a global, multinational environment
  • Experience in B2B marketing and/or agencies preferred
  • Only North American region candidates will be considered for this role.
