As a Project Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in managing engineering projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will contribute to the successful execution and delivery of engineering initiatives that drive operational excellence and innovation.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering projects by providing technical guidance, managing project schedules and resources, and fostering collaboration among teams to meet project objectives.

  • Manage engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 0-3 years of experience in project engineering or related roles within aerospace or similar technical industries or an advanced engineering degree
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, risk management, and problem-solving techniques
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning

WE VALUE

  • Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience developing and/or analyzing gas turbine engines of any sort
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, including scheduling software, budget tracking and earned value management systems
  • Model based systems engineering and requirement management in tools like DOORS

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
