running smoothly day to day.

The role combines hands-on, in-person outreach with full ownership of the participant
pipeline, including screening, scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and payment
management.

Success is measured based on schedule utilization, participant show rates, and
operational reliability.

This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable managing competing priorities,
adapting quickly to change, and consistently following through on operational details.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source participants through in-person outreach, distribute approved recruiting
materials, and maintain relationships with local organizations and community
  • Screen prospective participants based on project criteria, ensure understanding
    of session expectations and logistics.
  • Own the local recruiting pipeline from initial outreach through session completion,
maintain accurate records of outreach, confirmations, and attendance, adjust
recruiting strategies as needed to meet volume and attendance targets.
  • Visit the local office regularly to align with leadership on demand and priorities,
gather real-time feedback on quality and attendance, provide regular updates on
    recruiting progress, risks, and results.
  • Build and maintain a local recruiting pipeline to support both scheduled sessions
    and same-day backfills.
  • Own the participant lifecycle from eligibility confirmation through payment,
    excluding on-site moderation.
  • Partner closely with the on-site team to align on daily and weekly recruiting
priorities, understand capacity and upcoming gaps, and adjust recruiting and
    communication strategies accordingly.
  • Support additional recruiting and project coordination activities, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of short-term project dynamics and talent needs
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools, job boards, and social media platforms to identify
    and engage participants
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Highly organized, reliable, and self-directed with the ability to work independently
    in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable conducting in-person outreach, direct participant communication
and familiarity with Los Angeles neighborhoods and community networks
  • Professional and comfortable representing the company in community settings
  • Ability to manage high volumes of participants and shifting priorities

Compensation & Employment Details

  • $30/hour (W-2 employment), Hired through an Employer of Record (EOR) arrangement
  • Hours may vary based on project needs; some evenings or weekends may be
    required for recruiting purposes
  • Duration: This is a one-month engagement with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.

What We Offer
• Hybrid, field-based schedule with flexibility in the daily working hours.
• Competitive compensation with travel stipend

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
