The Opportunity
This position works out of our Pleasanton, CA location in the Heart Failure division. In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As the Project Coordinator at Abbott, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating projects related to the development and production of medical devices.
You will manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain accurate project documentation while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
What You’ll Work On
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
- Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project.
- Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
- Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project.
- This may include preparing designs and work specifications, developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts, and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
- Set priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
- Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project-related issues promptly to keep projects on track.
- Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management on project progress and any potential risks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- A self-directed, efficient individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
