Project Coordinator - Service and Channel Deployment (Contract)

As the Project Coordinator for Channel Onboarding and Hardware Deployment teams, you are responsible for the "Last Mile" of our partner strategy. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of bringing new partners into our ecosystem, from signing the agreements to ensuring their physical hardware is installed, tested, and live. This role requires a unique blend of relationship management and logistical precision.

Lunar Energy was founded to transition homes to 100% clean energy—making our electricity greener, our air cleaner and our energy more safe, secure and reliable for all. We’re a fast-growing, global company building the world’s best clean energy products to electrify all homes and connect communities to form clean, resilient virtual power plants.

On a given day at Lunar, you'll likely…

  • Guide new channel partners through the full onboarding process — contracts, tax forms, portal access, and certification training — so every partner has a clear path to going live
  • Coordinate hardware fulfillment from purchase order to delivery, tracking shipments and working with procurement to keep inventory stocked and on schedule during peak onboarding periods
  • Serve as the liaison between installation partners and field technicians, scheduling physical installations and reducing the administrative load on Field Service Engineers
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues at partner sites, collaborating with tier 3 support teams to diagnose problems and coordinate site visits when needed
  • Manage the RMA process for hardware that arrives damaged or fails during initial setup, keeping partners informed and resolution timelines tight
  • Maintain a real-time deployment dashboard tracking all active deployments by stage — Shipped, In-Transit, Installing, Validated — so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Keep CRM (HubSpot) and project (JIRA) records accurate and up to date to support billing, labor tracking, and reporting

Desired skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or channel coordination
  • Comfort working across tools like HubSpot, JIRA, Confluence, NetSuite, or similar ERP and project management systems
  • Strong logistical instincts, you understand lead times, shipping timelines, and how to keep moving parts aligned
  • A knack for following up persistently and diplomatically with busy external partners to keep projects on track
  • Clear, organized communicator who can translate between technical teams and non-technical partners
  • Comfortable maintaining and updating multiple live records and dashboards with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience in a hardware deployment, field services, or channel operations environment is a plus

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
