This Project Coordinator will report to our Development Team Lead and will focus on projects using technology to improve service for our clients and increase efficiency for our staff.

The focus of the Project Coordinator role can change. It will depend on both the capability of the person in the role and the season in which we are (because our short term business needs are driven by the season). 

This full-time, non-exempt position is remote from your home office.  We will provide you with a home office set-up including a computer and a phone.  Nova has been offering remote work for over 10 years. We offer a great work experience for our remote employees!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Track and advance projects identified by management to automate work processes and improve customer service and company image 
  • Communicate with the technical team to ensure proposed solutions are consistent with our standards 
  • Collaborate with different segments of the business and Automation team including vocalizing concerns 
  • Assign and track ticket requests and developer assignments 
  • Attend or facilitate stand-up calls with developers and/or business to track progress, remove blockers, and scope new projects  
  • Track issues related to our payroll integration product. This is an internally built data product, so this requires a desire to deeply study specific data flows and custom tools 
  • Discuss workflow with business and developers for clarity and ways to optimize 
  • Reviewing workflow templates with our business leads and developers to improve efficiency, reporting, and resiliency 
  • Increase transparency within the Automation Team and business stakeholders 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience in a business or technical setting leading a team
  • Prior experience completing projects that cross team boundaries (Sales, Production, external and an external vendor for example)
  • Ability to document processes in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity and motivated to apply research and analytical skills independently
  • A credential or certification related to project management is a plus
  • Awareness of some aspects of development (specifications, GitHub, programming) is a plus
  • Prior experience or familiarity with payroll, retirement plans, finance is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary $65,000 - $80,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Salaried, non-exempt position

Work Location/Hours:

  • Work from home
  • Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
  • Attend regular video meetings via Microsoft Teams or equivalent
  • We will supply all necessary computer equipment
  • Work hours: standard business hours with core hours in Central Time Zone
