The Utility Technology Solutions team at Leidos is seeking a motivated Project Controls Intern. Our ideal candidate will be enrolled in a Finance program as a rising senior. As a Project Controls Intern you will gain hands on experience working on challenging projects in a dynamic environment.

Our interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of program goals. We are seeking someone with a strong academic background in finance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn and grow. If you have a passion for finance and a drive to make a difference in the world, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The candidate will be assigned tasks that are relevant and necessary to the successful execution of Leidos contracts. Leidos will provide the candidate with real world experience and technical and career mentorship throughout the internship. This intern will have an opportunity to work alongside a Project Control Analyst to monitor and report on project planned spend, actual spend, and estimate to complete while also compiling data, analyze, and report on project costs, profits, and budget trends. In addition to these kinds of tasks, other work projects, depending on ability and interest, will be assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a major in finance or related discipline at an accredited University and must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Interested in pursuing a career in finance or project controls
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong problem problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Take initiative and show a willingness to learn and take in new challenges.
  • Adhere to project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
  • Candidate will be working in a professional environment and contributing to financials for projects for our customers. Therefore, candidates must be dedicated to producing quality work results and must be extremely attentive to detail.

Pay Range:Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
