As the project controls analyst, you will be responsible for controlling the scope, cost and schedule for a portfolio of large construction projects. Under general direction, you will exercise your judgment and be responsible for all aspects of project governance. Projects typically have a multi-year duration, and some may be high profile. The position requires skills in managing cross-functional, multi-location project teams using cutting edge project management methodologies.
Your Day-to-Day Activities:
Plan and Organize
· Input financial forecast data and provide analysis using software like SAP and Primavera P6
· Create and maintain project schedules— define activities, work breakdown structures, predecessors, successors, resources, and baselines
· Support project manager in preparation of business cases, contingency releases, and management of project budgets within established project governance rules
· Develop, monitor, and update cash flow projections
Analyze
· Analyze and report on variances for project cost and schedule
· Create and maintain Excel-like spreadsheets for reporting and analysis
· Measure the progress of activities and milestones in project schedules
Execute
· Assist with the execution and administration of contracts, process change orders, and validate and perform accruals
· Support meetings or calls with project team members and stakeholders
· Support project manager in holding team members accountable to action items
Communicate
· Prepare and present timely updates to project manager and analyst supervisor
· Keep all stakeholders informed of project developments through meeting minutes, action logs, and status reports
Manage Risk
· Support the project team in identifying, resolving, and tracking risks
· Escalate risks and issues to find ways to keep projects on schedule and on budget
You’ll be prepared for this job if you have…
· A Bachelor’s degree
· Three plus years of work experience
· Experience with project scheduling and financial analysis
· Good verbal and written communication skills
You’ll stand out if you have…
· Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
· Experience with SAP, NetSuite, or Sage
· Experience with Unifier or Project Wise project management software
· Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
· A fondness for taking ownership and a willingness to lead

· A passion for training
