Job SummaryDo you want to be part of our project teams that work on high-profile transportation projects? Our Rail + Transit sector is seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst to work on projects of various complexity with an emphasis on document management. This position will function in supporting compliance of contractual requirements, monitoring document control, and preparing key project performance data. The Project Controls Analyst supports group leaders in technical and support duties, allowing for the growth and development of the entire team.The position will be associated with our Chicago or Kansas City office but also can work a hybrid set up from any of our locations in the Central time zone.Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You'll Do:
Perform overall document control and flow of engineering design submittals and reviews.
Assign and maintain the application of metadata attributes and codes for project documents.
Process, distribute, and maintain controlled documentation using document control systems.
Track project performance and regularly communicate with Project Managers and Team.
Coordinate the subconsultant process on projects of various sizes and complexities.
Organize and attend project progress and coordination meetings. Develop draft meeting agendas, action items and meeting minutes and follow up as needed.
Ensure projects follows contractual requirements and internal TYLin processes
Provide administrative support for project closeout activities, including documentation finalization, and deliverable tracking to ensure timely and compliant project closure
Identify improvements for project controls, templates and products
Occasional Project Performance analysis including, but not limited to, Earned Value, Cost Performance Index (CPI), Cost to Complete, Forecast, Burn Rate, etc.
What You'll Bring:
BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
At least 4 years’ experience in Project Controls is required.
Experience in Architecture/Engineering/Construction consulting industry is required.
Experience in a PMO office is preferred but not required.
Experience in a Project Accounting role is preferred but not required.
Must have experience in contract management with exposure to subcontractor agreements.
Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve challenges.
High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, ensuring that all work is completed with precision and minimal errors.
Effectively conveys information clearly and concisely, ensuring all details are understood and reducing the risk of errors or misunderstandings.
Experience with ProjectWise software preferred but not required.
Proficiency with MS Office programs required, including advanced Excel skills.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $80,000 - $135,000 annually for this position and local market.
