This role will be hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, in either our St. Louis or Dallas offices.Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up and maintains projects in accounting system according to contract terms.
- Prepares monthly billings to client based on contract, posts billings timely and accurately
- Reviews project contracts for required billing, lien waiver and other accounting related responsibilities
- Supports Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to project accounting and billing.
- Reviews and approves travel expenses related to assigned projects.
- Participates in project review meetings.
- Reviews and enters all project related Subconsultant invoices to ensure costs are posted timely and accurately
- Maintain accurate and auditable accounting files.
- Monitors accounts receivable status and assists with collection if necessary
- Understands how projects earn revenue in the accounting system and assists the Regional Finance Manager monthly in reporting and analyzing project earnings
- Ensures compliance with accounting principles, company policies and regulatory requirements related to project accounting and revenue recognition.
- Supports internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Assists Project Managers with other job cost related tasks.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 2+ years project cost accounting.
- Experience in Architecture/Engineering consulting industry highly desired.
- Proven experience managing medium to large scale projects with changing scope, timelines, and consultants.
- Deltek Vision software knowledge is a plus.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Requires excellent 360-degree communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
- Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
- High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
Introba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $75- $85K annually for this position and local market.
