BAE Systems Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) business area is seeking a Program Quality Manager (PQM) in the Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) product line. This Manager will lead our Program Quality Engineers on development, production and sustainment programs in our Missile Warning (MW) and Optical Countermeasure (OCM) portfolios. Responsible for programs operating in New Hampshire, Texas and Alabama the PQM will also drive collaboration across all aspects of the Quality function, including roles such as Supplier Quality, Manufacturing/Operations Quality as well as Design and Software Quality. In this role, you will work closely with the Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Contracts and Customers to provide proactive, value-added solutions to the program including Cost Account Management, Risk and Opportunity, Life Cycle Management including Customer/Contract requirements management to provide world class program execution.
This role will also be responsible to drive permanent mistake proofed corrective actions using quality science tools via 8D methodology. The PQM will help integrate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) / AS9145 for key products utilizing FMEA, Control Plans, Capability Studies, and MSA. First Article Inspection, Transition to Production, non-conformance tracking, data trending and analysis to drive Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the value stream, to meet Customer On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Cost requirements.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely and travel to other locations.

- Coach, Mentor and Develop a team of Quality Engineers and establish Individual Development Plans for their career growth.
- Provide guidance to ensure alignment with quality policy, strategic objectives and organization goals that drive to Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) reduction and Continuous Improvement.
- Collaborate as a member of the Program Management Office with program leadership for planning, execution, and management of critical program activities.
- Requirements management including development and implementation of program quality plans and procedures to ensure products conform to established company, contract and regulatory performance and quality standards.
- Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies including facilitate root cause investigations and develop disposition and corrective actions for discrepancies - using proven root cause/corrective action (RCCA) techniques and driving sustainable preventive improvements as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- A Bachelor's Degree and 8-10+ years work experience or 12-14+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Self-starting problem solver with a fact-based focus on continuous improvement, and a demonstrated history of leadership
- Strong and Demonstrated Communication Skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team/geographically diverse environment).
- Enjoys working with and coaching Quality professionals and other cross-functional team members to continuously improve execution success
- Strong understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing) along with relevant industry standards
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Certified Lean Six Sigma or other relevant Quality or Project Management Certifications (ASQ, PMP, etc.)
- Active Secret or higher clearances
- AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145
