PingWind is seeking a highly qualified Program Manager to lead and oversee complex technology infrastructure projects. This individual will play a critical role in managing the full project lifecycle from planning and execution to delivery and close-out across a range of IT domains, including server, network, storage, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, proven leadership experience, and a strong background in project and program management, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality results that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates the project lifecycle for technology infrastructure projects, including server, mainframe, storage, database, and network technology lifecycle management.
• Oversees projects from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close-out.
• Establishes project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
• Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for complete life-cycle of projects including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of solutions designed to meet the project requirements.
• Determines project needs and acquires resources required for the success of the project. Designs project plans which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
• Manages the agreed scope of the organization's solution projects and provides innovative solutions to complex problems for the purpose of increasing the speed of development and change and of driving the achievement of business objective.
• Coordinates solution planning for offerings, heads a solution team, utilizing strong technical leadership and ongoing coaching of direct reports.
• directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
• Oversees the development of solution roadmaps of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution, transforms that vision through execution into the solution, and assures projects meet the quality requirements.
• Establishes project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
• Coordinates solution offerings, heads a solution team and acquires the required support the various disciplines external to the team as needed. Utilizes strong technical leadership and ongoing coaching of direct reports.
Requirements
• Fifteen 15 + years of experience in supporting Information Technology as a Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong technical understanding of Information Technology, Identity and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems and services for the areas of work contemplated in the PWS.
• Project management proficiency with the knowledge skills, tools and techniques required to implement the services comprised by the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL Foundation).
• A Project Management certification (such as PMP) is mandatory.
• Managing agile development teams and understanding how any enhancement, defect, or other request impacts the architecture of the application.
• Required to have and maintain Public Trust
• Expert knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in executing, monitoring, and managing projects to successful, high- quality and on-budget completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials.
• Ability to interact and communicate with key managers and functional experts including internal service delivery teams, client project teams, external service provider project teams, and subcontractors to understand the current environment, the contract requirements and proposed solution; and to develop and gain approval for project scope, schedule, cost, and quality management plans to implement technical solutions.
