Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and collaborative Program Manager to support our Aerospace & Defense customer business. You will help drive operational visibility, accurate forecasting, and informed business decisions by connecting customer demand, revenue, awards, workforce capacity, and headcount planning.

This person will play an important role in ensuring that forecasts and business data are accurate, timely, and actionable.

We are looking for someone with a winning spirit - a person who takes ownership, asks questions, solves problems, builds strong relationships, and is motivated to help the business and its teams succeed.

The Role
  • Support business operations planning, forecasting, and reporting for Aerospace & Defense customers and programs.
  • Maintain and analyze business awards, revenue forecasts, pipeline, bookings, and related operational data using established business planning and forecasting tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and maintain accurate business inputs and assumptions.
  • Analyze how customer demand, awards, revenue, program timing, and other business inputs translate into headcount requirements and people capacity needs.
  • Help develop and maintain capacity and workforce forecasts that support business growth and operational planning.
  • Monitor forecast inputs and outputs, identify inconsistencies or gaps, and work with the appropriate teams to resolve data issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, Program Management, Operations, Engineering, HR/People, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment across forecasts.
  • Help establish and maintain processes that improve forecast accuracy, data quality, and operational visibility.
  • Track changes to business assumptions and communicate their potential impact on revenue, capacity, headcount, and resource planning.
  • Prepare clear reporting, analysis, and presentations for business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the data and proactively communicate findings.
  • Support recurring business reviews, planning cycles, and ad hoc analyses as business needs arise.
  • Continuously look for ways to simplify processes, improve data integrity, and make business planning more efficient.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • Experience in business operations, financial/business planning, forecasting, capacity planning, program operations, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work comfortably with business data.
  • Experience working with revenue forecasts, business awards, bookings, pipeline, workforce planning, or similar operational metrics.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn and effectively use business planning, forecasting, reporting, or ERP tools.
  • Experience with work on the Jira platform (managing user access, maintaining workflows, developing dashboards and reports, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring Jira is aligned with organizational processes and operational needs)
  • Ability to understand relationships between business demand, revenue, workload, staffing, and capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and organizational levels.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions, asking questions, and driving issues to resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Aerospace & Defense customers, programs, or government contracting environments.
  • Familiarity with workforce/headcount planning and capacity models.
  • Experience with business intelligence, forecasting, ERP, CRM, or financial planning tools.
  • Experience translating business forecasts into operational or resource requirements.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
