Job Summary

The Program Manager V – Category Strategy & Value Capture Center of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for designing, running, and continuously improving the operating rhythm, governance, and execution frameworks that enable effective Category Strategy development and Value Capture delivery across a global, matrixed organization. This role serves as the backbone of the Category Strategy & Value Capture CoE, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment from strategic intent through execution and realized value.

This position operates as a senior individual contributor and trusted partner to the category teams and GSP leadership, with a strong Chief-of-Staff-style orientation. The role requires comfort with high ambiguity, enterprise-level thinking, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Key ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy & Value Capture Operating Framework
  • Own and evolve the end-to-end operating framework for Category Strategy and Value Capture, including annual planning, in-year refresh cycles, leadership reviews, and pipeline formation.
  • Define and maintain standard templates, methodologies, and timelines to ensure consistent, high-quality Category Strategies across portfolios and regions.
  • Partner with Category Leaders to translate business priorities into structured strategies, executable initiatives, and measurable value outcomes.
Governance, Cadence, and Decision Enablement
  • Design and run governance forums, operating cadences, and decision checkpoints that enable timely, informed leadership decisions.
  • Ensure Category Strategy and Value Capture activities are aligned to enterprise priorities, financial targets, and risk frameworks.
  • Track commitments, dependencies, and risks across initiatives, proactively surfacing issues and recommendations to leadership.
Chief of Staff & Organizational Integration
  • Serve as a senior integrator and extension of leadership, supporting prioritization, sequencing, and cross-program coordination.
  • Align Category Strategy and Value Capture operating rhythms with broader GSP and enterprise operating cadences.
  • Drive clarity and alignment during periods of organizational transformation by connecting strategy, execution, and communication.
Stakeholder Leadership & Influence
  • Lead through influence across Category, Sourcing, Finance, Analytics, BRM, SRM, and Process teams without direct authority.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and functional partners to resolve conflicts, align priorities, and drive adoption of standard approaches.
  • Facilitate complex discussions, anticipate objections, and guide stakeholders toward enterprise-aligned outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10–15 years of experience in program management, transformation, strategy operations, or similar roles within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated success designing and leading operating rhythms, governance models, and enterprise-level programs.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in high ambiguity and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
