The Role
The Systems, Workflow & Technology organization supports content from pitch-to-play with advanced production systems, streamlined workflows, and innovative technology solutions, to drive operational efficiencies and enable creative storytelling experiences that thrill members.
The team of program managers within Systems, Workflows & Technology closely partners with regional content production organizations and internal product teams to develop operational and technological solutions for the Studio, leveraging our global footprint to effectively test, scale rollout and oversee deployment of production tools and workflows.
We are looking for an execution-oriented, highly effective Program Manager who is excited to shape the future of production and the operationalization of bleeding-edge technology that will delight both our creative partners and audiences around the world.
Responsibilities
Lead strategic planning and execution framework for a complex portfolio in the domains of production operations and media solutions
Oversee and coordinate organization’s programs, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and operational strategies, identifying risks and mitigating against them, to solve for production or creative needs
Communicate program status, progress, and performance to stakeholders and senior leadership
Directly manage multiple projects; develop and maintain effective projects plans and timelines, and execute against them
Orchestrate work across multiple cross-functional teams, creating a collaborative and transparent environment amongst stakeholders
Partner with Netflix product teams and production technology teams when developing internal solutions or evaluating 3rd party solutions to provide business context and a practical perspective, to foster operationalization and alignment around preferred/recommended solutions
Strategize and implement change management plans, in coordination with with regional teams and global support organizations, to ensure the successful rollout of operational processes or new products; this includes partnering with key stakeholders to realize change management with minimal operational friction, crafting communication to key stakeholders, contributing to the creation of guidance and best practices documentation, and directly addressing challenges that may emerge during rollout
Establish a reliable and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management, whereby improvements are measurable and have high-impact
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in project and/or program management, experience in both strongly preferred; background in management consulting and/or holds an MBA degree is a plus
Experience with techniques and tools that drive process efficiency and continuous improvement (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean thinking, Scrum)
Ability to quickly grasp concepts related to innovative technology (e.g. Generative AI)
Experience and ability to respectfully and confidently engage with executives and operational colleagues
Ability to multitask and handle a heavy volume of work
Ability to manage and operate in ambiguous situations, and think on your feet to solve challenges and problems
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to socialize, explain and “sell” new and complex strategies, practices, and workflows
Knowledge of the product development workflow strongly preferred (e.g. project management, user acceptance testing, functional documentation development)
Knowledge and experience of the content creation process preferred (e.g. on set production and post-production services, associated workflows and metadata)
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $245,000.
