Requirements

Summary:

The Program Manager, Release & Enablement, owns the repeatable systems and communication strategies that ensure product releases translate into measurable client value. This role serves as the critical operational link between Product and Client-facing teams, managing the end-to-end release lifecycle. By overseeing beta programs, internal readiness, and client-facing communications, this position ensures that every new feature is launched with a clear strategy for adoption and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Beta & Early Access Program Management: Design and lead the operational framework for beta and early release programs. Select participants, gather structured feedback, and iterate on enablement materials based on real-world client usage before general availability.
  • Release Communication Strategy: Develop and execute the communication strategy for all product updates. This includes defining the "why" behind new features and ensuring consistent messaging across internal announcements, client emails, and in-app notifications.
  • Training & Enablement Leadership: Lead internal training sessions for Client Success, Support, and Sales teams. Distill complex technical updates into actionable insights that help teams effectively consult with clients.
  • Release Lifecycle & Readiness Governance: Act as the primary gatekeeper for "Internal Readiness," ensuring all client-facing teams meet certification and messaging standards prior to launch.
  • AI-Enabled Enablement Engine: Own and optimize an AI-enabled content engine (e.g., Claude) to scale the creation of internal documentation, product guides, and automated enablement materials.
  • Knowledge Base & Help Center Stewardship: Maintain and optimize the external Knowledge Base. Ensure all documentation is accurate, searchable, and aligned with the latest product functionality and client use cases.
  • In-App Guidance & Adoption Strategy: Own the strategy and execution of in-app messaging and guides (e.g., Pendo) to drive feature awareness and provide "just-in-time" training within the product.
  • Adoption Tracking & Analysis: Monitor and report on adoption outcomes within the critical 30–60 day post-release window. Develop "Early Read" reports for the Product team to identify friction points and success patterns.

Skills/Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS operations, product enablement, or client success.
  • Proven experience managing beta programs or early access initiatives for complex SaaS products.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a background in developing internal and external messaging strategies.
  • Experience leading live and recorded training sessions for diverse professional audiences.
  • Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in KB and In-App Guidance tools.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools for content generation and workflow automation.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the health and life insurance industry or insurance agency workflows.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing Guru or similar internal knowledge management/AI agent platforms.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
