Anduril’s Manufacturing Team is seeking a Program Manager for Industrial Engineering to join our team. The Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, sensors, undersea, and flight vehicles, and scaling these products. The Industrial Engineering team will be instrumental in taking a data-driven approach to designing factories, production lines, scaling plans, and associated manufacturing processes to meet these objectives. Executing on this responsibility will entail active collaboration with other Anduril teams, including but not limited to Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations.
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Program Manager for Industrial Engineering to lead production space planning across HQ and global capacity management initiatives. The role will work closely with manufacturing leaders and industrial engineers of each product line to determine and centralize the production capacities for each space and product across our locations globally. This role drives large-scale, strategic programs and collaborates closely with executive leadership to enable critical decision-making that supports long-term business growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering results in fast-paced, global environments.
Strategic Space Planning
- Develop and implement long-term strategic space planning initiatives for HQ, ensuring alignment with business needs and future growth.
- Partner with facilities, finance, warehouse, operations, and engineering teams to optimize space utilization and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage and prioritize competing space demands across multiple teams and functions.
Global Capacity Management
- Lead global capacity planning initiatives to ensure manufacturing and operational readiness for current and future demands.
- Aggregate, synthesize, and reconcile company-wide information for a source of truth for production capacity.
- Monitor and analyze capacity data to identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities, and propose solutions to ensure scalability.
- Collaborate with global teams to align capacity management strategies with regional and corporate objectives.
Program Leadership
- Drive large, cross-functional strategic initiatives related to space planning and capacity management, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership on key programs, providing updates, recommendations, and insights.
- Act as internal product owner, setting the business processes and tools for this function.
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and milestones, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Executive Communication and Decision Support
- Provide data-driven recommendations to executive leadership to inform critical decisions on space allocation and capacity planning.
- Prepare high-impact presentations and reports for leadership, summarizing program progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives, ensuring alignment between program execution and strategic business objectives.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance space planning and capacity management efficiency.
- Leverage data analytics and forecasting tools to improve decision-making and planning accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in space optimization and capacity management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in program management, industrial engineering, or a related role, with a focus on space planning and capacity management.
- Strong track record of leading large, strategic initiatives in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Exceptional project management skills, with expertise in developing roadmaps, managing timelines, and driving execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership.
- Proficient in data analysis, forecasting, and modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar tools).
- Experience in manufacturing, facilities planning, or operational excellence is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while executing at a detailed level.
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
