SailPoint is seeking a Jr. Program Manager to join our CSD Programs and Governance team who has program management experience in an enterprise software or technology company. The ideal candidate is goal and detail oriented with a technical background, passionate about delivering high business value and is experienced in Business Operations (Project Management, Business Process Engineering, Metrics/Reporting, Root Cause Analysis, etc.). The ideal candidate can demonstrate their experience in program managing small-medium size projects in a software or technology company. They will also possess exceptional communication, problem solving and collaborative skills. This is a “people interactive” role, where the ideal candidate will be expected to interface with multiple cross-functional teams to drive discovery, assessment, planning and successful delivery of program objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate In-depth understanding of engineering principles and concepts, as well as knowledge of various tools and software used in engineering operations.
- Drive effective programs and processes by forming relationships and strong partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the programs are supported and delivered to the highest standards.
- Manage project/program plans, risks/issues, dependencies, and schedule commitments to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy and the most efficient execution.
- Build and maintain program/project documentation and dashboards that communicate a comprehensive status to teams and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Customer Support, Core Operations, Finance, and other Customer facing leaders/teams to facilitate continuous delivery of requirements as executable work items and smooth production launch.
- Facilitate program/project communication including kick-off and launch events, milestone reviews and status updates as needed.
- Facilitate risk/issue management and dependencies across the program deliverables and communicate their status to global teams.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and resolve critical incidents and escalations in a timely manner, using effective communication and problem-solving skills to minimize impact and risk.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain incident response plans, including communication plans, escalation procedures, and crisis management protocols.
- Knowledge and experience in managing customer support processes, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service-level management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry work experience.
- In-depth understanding of engineering principles and concepts, as well as knowledge of various tools and software used in engineering operations, to include a thorough understanding of SDLC from conception to production delivery.
- 2-5 years of Program Management experience in a high-tech organization successfully delivering small to medium, distributed enterprise Agile projects, including dependency mapping, project delivery sequencing, ability to understand both high level and low-level project delivery details. Experience delivering enterprise level customer programs/projects is a plus.
- Solid track record of setting and achieving detailed program/project goals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and making data-driven decisions.
- High initiative and passion for helping teams continuously improve program/project delivery.
- Development experience in Java based web applications and micro services is preferred.
- Track record of managing executive level escalations and collaborating across the org to perform RCAs.

- Introduction to company systems, processes, and tools (Communication, financial modeling software, databases, etc.).

- Understand job expectations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliverables.
- Review team structure and individual roles.
- Familiarize with current projects and reports.
3. Relationship Building:

- Participate in onboarding activities and one-on-one meetings with managers.
4. Immediate Contributions:
- Demonstrate the ability to comprehend and outline program workstreams, and updating risk-registers, project plans and communication presentations.
- Assist with on-going projects – co-pilot current projects with established project managers.
60-Day Plan (Skill Development and Increased Contribution)
- Objective: Deepen understanding of workflows and demonstrate initial autonomy.
1. Project Involvement:
- Take ownership of projects.
- Begin to contribute ideas to project meetings or strategy discussions.

- Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose solutions.
- Develop a basic understanding of opportunities to drive ownership of projects.

180-Day Plan (Proficiency and Leadership Growth)
- Objective: Solidify expertise and prepare for advanced contributions.

- Become proficient in all company tools and processes
- Streamline and enhance program processes with innovative solutions.
2. Leadership Development:
- Mentor new hires or junior team members.
- Lead and own major projects.
3. Strategic Decision Making:
- Provide actionable insights through detailed analysis.
- Demonstrate long-term forecasting and risk mitigation strategies.

- Conduct a self-assessment and review with managers to plan career development steps.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
