About Metal

Metal is an AI-powered operating system for founders raising venture rounds. Used by thousands of founders across the globe, our platform brings deep intelligence to core workflows involved in fundraising. In the long-term, our mission is to build the rails of the venture industry by bringing efficiency to venture rounds.

About the Role

As part of our growth team, the Production Lead (PL) role contributes to the editorial and owns the end-to-end production cycle. In the years ahead, we believe the best inbound and social teams will operate as effective media organisations, focusing on value creation through content.

This role will work closely with our overall growth architecture to build our brand on social channels, primarily through value-based content. Potential growth paths include growing into leadership roles, specifically around B2B Growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Ideate, prepare and author world-class content themes to populate our social calendar

  • Execute on social campaigns and measure performance on an ongoing basis

  • Bring a creative approach to our thinking and strategy for reaching our target audience

  • Deploy an empirical approach to content iterations and improvements

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and iteration across the growth function

What We’re Looking For

Non-Negotiable Qualities

  • Interest in Spatial Coverage: A deep interest in and curiosity around startups / venture capital is critical to thrive in this role

  • Critical Thinking: A natural inclination to challenge the status quo and to explore alternative pathways, especially in formalising content themes

  • Drive / Internal Motivation: Persistent, resilient, and motivated to succeed in a fast-paced high-intensity role

  • Culture Fit: Ambition, humility, and learning capacity — the core traits we value at Metal.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in social or growth roles (B2B SaaS preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes and work to measurable goals

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment with minimal oversight

Why Join Metal?

You’ll be part of building Metal’s growth engine from the ground up, with clear paths for personal and professional advancement as we scale. This is an opportunity to work closely with our Founder/CEO as we chart out our path to emerge as a leader in the B2B Software space.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
