What does your typical day look like?

Daily I get to work on several different technology stacks as well as numerous third party integrations. Suffice to say, if you are a polyglot engineer you will not be bored. Most importantly, everyone is great to work with and very supportive. There truly is a sense we’re all in this together and egos may be left at the doorstep.

Bernard

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Everyone is extremely encouraging, talented and friendly. The leadership team provides a trust-based culture and team-oriented environment. It has been a very enriching experience. I have learned so much, not just in my area, but also cross functionally, which has helped in my overall career growth. I could not be happier with my role.

Jen

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

Tech is fundamental to everything we do from our production processing system to e-commerce omni channels. Our tech team is the heart of everything the company does and all customer touch points. We have a high degree of autonomy to determine best tools and practices, and we have a big impact on the business.

Thane

How does the company support your career growth?

I strongly feel I am being heard, respected, acknowledged for my work in the Tech department more than anywhere else I have been as a female technical professional. Ref is truly a diverse company. Ref Tech is full of opportunities for tech professionals. Working here, I feel valued and motivated to develop my career as a technical leader.
