About the Role and Your Impact:

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with domain knowledge in SMS and MMS. Our goal is to expand our messaging infrastructure so we can achieve “best in the industry” deliverability rates and messaging throughput. You will also build products that offer customers greater visibility and control over the phone type offerings, deliverability status, and traffic; and provide education for how messages are scheduled, prioritized, and processed. You will be expected to partner with mobile services providers and build integrations and resolve issues related to messaging deliverability.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the entire messaging strategy and SMS / MMS infrastructure
  • Subject-matter expert for phone types (10DLC, Toll-free, Short code), SMS / MMS deliverability, TCPA, among other things
  • Responsible for proper configuration of number pools and delivery options for all Brands
  • Responsible for proper SMS / MMS configurations during onboarding
  • Use SQL and associated tools for manual research and investigation
  • Monitoring SMS / MMS deliverability through use of Twilio and other messaging service providers
  • Continuous monitoring of carrier filtering and other deliverability anomalies for SMS / MMS providers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and others
  • Primary point of contact for Customer Support regarding deliverability in general and messaging platform specific issues
  • Takes corrective actions in order to maintain high level SMS / MMS deliverability
  • Maintains and modifies, as appropriate, all documentation related to messaging infrastructure and messaging providers
  • Ensures Emotive remains in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Skills You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years as a Product Manager at a B2B SaaS, Telecom, or Messaging Service company
  • 1-3 years of mobile messaging experience with subject matter expertise in SMS and MMS
  • Advanced proficiency with the technical elements of product design, development and application
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information, or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, Twilio, Cloud Communication tools and associated tools
  • Understanding of the competitive and upcoming messaging technology landscape
  • Experience with operation and administration of complex software systems is required
  • Strong analytical skills, experience building analytics products is a plus
  • Strong ability to isolate customer needs and turn ambiguous problems or ideas into a product roadmap with minimal guidance
  • Incredible attention to detail. You want to ship the best customer experience and will not compromise. Your specs are incredibly detailed and you are able to provide unambiguous clarity to engineering teams
  • International experience is a plus
  • Multi-channel experience is a plus
