LA Startup seeks software product manager with consumer electronics experience and a passion for audio! Geneva and Los Angeles-based consumer electronics company developing the next generation of wireless audio devices is looking for a highly skilled Software Product Manager. The Software PM at HED Social will ensure all software products and services align with corporate vision and are successfully executed. You will work with the latest technologies in mobile, audio, AI, machine learning, and data science to deliver new and exciting consumer experiences. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:

1. Developing a solid understanding of corporate vision, business goals, and target
customers to create high-level software product requirements
2. Working with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-department resources, to develop
software roadmaps, business and market cases, use cases, user journey, and
technology feasibility analysis
3. Coordinating roadmap, features/function priorities, backlogs, and MVP, across various
departments, contractors, partners, and service providers.
4. Maintaining very close communication and collaboration with our Geneva R&D team to
align software and product planning with hardware, firmware, embedded, cloud,
backend, natural language process, data analytics, AI development, SaaS, and
technology partners
5. Ensuring our UI/UX creative director is in sync with product roadmaps, timelines, and
requirements
6. Qualification and management of external development agencies as necessary to meet
UI/UX, mobile app, or other software development needs.
7. Oversee the requirements and front-end development of HED’s partner dev platform.
Ensure API’s and integration policies are well documented for our SDK
8. Managing the product lifecycle from strategic planning, to execution activities,
maintenance, and EOL. Monitor market performance and feedback. This includes
software products, mobile apps, features/functions, cloud services, content, and partner
integrations
9. Ensuring software compliance with market regulatory, privacy and security policy, and
technical standards

Skills and experience:

● Strong technical product and project management skills with experience using current
tools – Jira, Trello, Slack, MS Teams, G-suite, others
● Must have experience with SDLC management in an Agile environment
● Experience defining, managing, launching, and maintaining software products and
services
● Experience with software requirements, user stories, use cases, personas, and concept
rapid prototyping
● Knowledgeable in mobile app development process (iOS and Android), PaaS, SaaS,
cloud services, DevOps, platform development, API’s and SDK’s
● Knowledge of technologies behind automatic speech recognition (ASR), natural
language processing (NLP), natural language generation (NLG) systems
● Knowledge of use cases for AI systems, machine learning, deep learning and neural
networks
● Foundational knowledge of software development and various programming languages
● Adaptable and comfortable with frequent change
● A leader with excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align at all
levels of the business

Education /Years of relevant experience:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Management, or
related field
● Or a combination of experience and education
● 5+ years of relevant professional experience
