The Role

We're seeking a Product Manager, Data Analyst to dig into our product usage information to identify the most efficient way to display data to our users.  This role will work closely with our Product and engineering teams to execute on projects based on what’s identified by the Reporting squad.  To do well in this role you will need a very fine eye for detail, experience analyzing and applying data insights, and a deep understanding of the popular analytical tools and approaches.

• You’ll experiment with different reports, drill-downs, data visualizations tools, dashboards, etc.

Initial Responsibilities

• Reviewing existing reports, and understand the underlying data
• Dive deep into our data sets, data warehouse, data architecture, etc. and become a data expert
• Make analytical, data-driven recommendations and communicate the results to the Sr. Product Manager
• Becoming an expert in our product data architecture to identify and glean opportunities to provide insights to our clinicians
• Apply your expertise in visualization and data mining to present data to SimplePractice clinicians that will delight them and deepen their engagement with our platform 
• Create dashboards that are engaging and entice clinicians to drill down quickly to the most important data points
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to scope new features and inform the product roadmap through analysis, priority trade-off recommendations driven by strategic priorities, and help determine the business logic of new features
• Validate assumptions with our users

• Delivering growth on the most important top-line company KPI's
• Communicating analytical, data-driven decisions and results of analyses to the CEO and executive leadership team
• Identify opportunities for the Sr. Product Manager, Reports to pursue
• Influence and inform the Sr. Product Manager, Reports through data-based recommendations
• Identify and drive initiatives to enhance SimplePractice’s data ecosystem
  

Requirements

• Understanding data architecture
• Visualization mindset; enjoys presenting data in a delightful and visual way 
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and intellectual curiosity
• Proactive team player who enjoys working with peers and other key stakeholders to design and execute against evolving business needs
• 2+ years experience working with a team of engineers, designers, and data analysts  
• 3+ years experience doing quantitative analysis with solid hands-on SQL
• Can build great dashboard and reports
• Nice to have - Knowledge of Periscope and/or Mixpanel
• Nice to have - Experience in a startup strongly preferred
• Nice to have - Experience marketing a B2C subscription product
• Ideal candidate - BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field or 2+ years equivalent technical work experience
• Ideal candidate - Entry level knowledge of artificial intelligence and/or natural language processing
