Who We Are:

StackCommerce is the leading commerce + content platform. For consumers, we help them discover and purchase products directly on the news and content sites they visit daily. For merchants, we provide unmatched exposure through shoppable articles and product features on the world’s largest media outlets. For publishers, we power white-labeled e-commerce shops with on-site checkout for over 1,000 publishers including Yahoo!, CNN, Hearst, Mashable, NY Post, TMZ, MarketWatch, and many more. TPG’s Integrated Media acquired a majority stake in the company in December 2020.

The Role:

The Head of Product will leverage their experience in product management, technology and leadership to translate the company’s vision to be the leader in the content commerce space into an actionable product roadmap. This role will be responsible for leading multiple product and project initiatives across all areas of the organization.

As the Head of Product at StackCommerce, you will

  • Lead and grow our product organization
  • Own and develop our suite of products and long-term roadmaps
  • Work cross-functionality with internal stakeholders to deliver complex products
  • Coach product team members, empower them to make decisions and drive the team towards significant milestones
  • Work closely with senior engineering and business leadership to ensure what we’re building is in the best interest of our customers, technically feasible, and will drive business results
  • Gather and use data to drive critical business decisions, like new product lines and hiring plans
  • Continuously refine and evolve the product management process to maximize productivity

What You'll Need:

  • 8 years experience building and leading world-class products in the ecommerce, digital media, or affiliate marketing space
  • Technical acumen. You have experience working closely with engineering teams
  • Experience owning a product vision. You have demonstrable expertise defining, articulating, and iterating on a large product vision internally and externally.
  • An insatiable drive to make things better. While prioritization is paramount, no detail is too small to go unaddressed. You should constantly be looking at every process, tool, assumption, and script, and asking, “How can we make this better?”
  • Time management and prioritization skills. Things change. The role requires someone who is used to juggling several tasks simultaneously and operating under uncertainty. You will need to work both hard and smart; one alone will not suffice.
  • Business acumen. You can create sound business cases and understand financial concepts.
  • A project owner attitude. You are excited about being held accountable for your successes and failures. You will be responsible for your own projects for which you will own the results.
  • Deep understanding of core product principles and expertise in user-centric product development.

Big pluses:

  • Experience working on large-scale ecommerce marketplaces or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
