Director Product Management

The Product Manager will be responsible for managing our enterprise management tools/portal, retail products and developing go to market plans with our marketing team. The Product Manager will streamline concept to launch product management of Boingo's customer facing management portal, retail Wi-Fi products, and will engage with existing customers and key partners.

 Responsibilities

  • Define, manage and communicate the product vision and roadmap aligned with company objectives, and supported by market research, customer data and competitive analysis.
  • Document and prioritize product specifications including goals, use cases and requirements.
  • Distill business and product requirements and develop user stories based on these requirements.
  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional team of sales and engineers through the product lifecycle, using iterative development methodologies.
  • Lead, coordinate and communicate launch plans and post-launch activities with key stakeholders, and assist with day-to-day operational support. Gather customer feedback to validate that the product meets stated metrics.
  • Measure customer satisfaction and track engagement metrics and deliver optimizations based on results.
  • Understand Product Life Cycle Management with an ability to provide data driven customer feature / benefit, pricing, forecast, and leadership within a cross–functional finance, engineering, operations and sales matrix
  • Discuss and challenge architectural concepts, tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members
  • Understand the Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, DAS and Private Network commercial and technology ecosystem
  • Logically organize and regularly present information to support forecasting, pricing, business analysis and customer input
  • Seek out market trend information through industry contacts and secondary sourced research.
  • Implement a feature / benefit / forecast matrix to support evaluation of engineering and company resources

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product, sales engineering, or consulting experience in LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi or a similar data-driven market
  • Experience with working with engineering and marketing to drive delivery and adapt to technical constraints without comprising user needs and to successfully launch programs
  • Proficient knowledge of the telecommunications industry & landscape
  • Experience leading technical / business trade off discussions
  • Experience working in fast-paced and dynamic culture
  • Proven track record of communication and people skills
  • Driven by results, and organized; strong attention to detail and self-managed
  • Experience working with and presenting data, including use of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or SQL a plus
  • MBA degree preferred
