Our first product embeds with travel and outdoor events partners, offering their customers a guarantee against bad weather. This means a customer can have confidence that they will have a great time in the sun. If not, they get their money back!

What You'll Be Doing

As the Director of Product Management you will be responsible for building a high performing product management team that works cross-functionally to deliver value for our users, both consumers and our travel partners. You will be responsible for ensuring aligned incentives across pods, providing context and direction to teams, hiring and managing product managers, and thinking strategically about how our teams and products scale.

We are a highly cross-functional team where individual pods are given a lot of freedom to own their strategy and roadmap. You are the kind of leader that loves empowering people on your team to find success while equipping them with the skills and context they need. You will collaborate with leaders from design, engineering, and business functions to ensure teams have the resources they need and that Sensible continues to have a unified vision and direction that everyone believes in.

We are B2B2C business where our product development team comes from a blend of consumer products and SaaS/platform experience. We care deeply about design thinking and end-user experience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leading product development, experience in fintech or travel tech is a plus
• 3+ years of experience managing product managers or similar roles
• Experience with teams and products at scale
• Technical proficiency in working with engineering concepts and architecture
• Appreciation and understanding of what quality UX means and how products get there
• The ability to combine the qualitative with the quantitative to manage ambiguity
• A high level of comfort with actively sharing information and story telling across an organization
• A strategic mindset
