A day in the life of a Product Video Producer, Creative Lead at Calendly

As Calendly’s Product Video Producer, Creative Lead, you’ll bring our product stories to life through compelling, high-quality video. From concept to final cut, you’ll shape how we communicate product innovation and our mission to enhance the quality of every relationship-building interaction. 

You will be a hands-on maker across storyboarding/concepting, production, and post, building a scalable motion system. This individual contributor role blends creative storytelling, hands-on production, and project management – perfect for a self-starter who loves turning ideas into impactful visual narratives. They will also contribute to setting the creative vision for our product video content. The role combines executional excellence, creative systems, speed, and measurable impact. You will collaborate closely with Product Marketing as well as other teams within marketing, and work with the Principal Multimedia Producer, reporting into the Manager of Brand + Design.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Define and lead the holistic product video strategy for launches/feature releases, webinars, live demos, and help center education—owning narrative frameworks and executing on the creative vision for how we connect product value to customer outcomes.
  • Oversee and execute high-impact productions (launch videos, product explainers, demos, etc.), ensuring creative excellence, narrative clarity, and measurable business impact.
  • Architect and evolve Calendly’s motion and video design systems, defining scalable standards, documentation, and templates that empower partner teams and drive brand consistency globally.
  • Direct shoots (live and screen capture) and provide creative video direction and mentorship to other producers and cross-functional partners.
  • Guide creative standard for video, mentoring others in storytelling craft, and leveraging AI-assisted workflows for speed and quality.
  • Partner with leadership across Product Marketing, Brand Design, Social, Growth and Customer Education to translate strategic positioning into a unified visual narrative framework that drives product adoption and differentiation for specific channels. 
  • Develop and scale a creative operations model, integrating AI, automation, and vendor ecosystems to increase velocity and operational excellence.
  • Champion innovation in creative technology and AI-assisted workflows to drive efficiency, maintain brand integrity, and ensure accessibility across global deliverables.
What do we need from you?Basic Qualifications
  • 12+ years in product video, motion design, filmmaking, or adjacent roles in SaaS or related tech. Proven ability to define strategy, influence stakeholders, and scale creative systems.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strategic storytelling and quality creative execution across product video and brand that delivered measurable business outcomes.
  • Hands-on mastery in one or more: Premiere/Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Resolve, C4D/3D, Figma animation; scripting, editing, and demo capture instincts.
  • Proven experience developing cross-functional creative systems and leading change initiatives that enhanced quality, scalability, and alignment across multiple teams.
  • Exceptional cross-functional influence, leadership presence, and communication skills, with the ability to align video strategy to business goals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience evolving a motion design system (including accessibility, localization, and captioning standards) or product UI animation.
  • Experience setting up an in-house video studio.
  • Fluency in screen capture best practices for SaaS demos and multi‑environment capture.
  • Pragmatic use of AI in creative workflows and production, with strong taste to uphold brand standards.
  • Experience sourcing and directing external production partners; basic production budgeting.

$212,557.80$250,068 USD
Tier 2 Salary Hiring Range
$194,844.65$229,229 USD
Tier 3 Salary Hiring Range
$177,131.50$208,390 USD

The ranges listed above are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Top Performer Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:

  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
