The Product Team Lead will oversee discovery and delivery of advanced Condition-Based Maintenance capabilities for the DoD, ensuring user needs drive product development and operational outcomes.
About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.
About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is transforming how the Department of Defense (DoD) utilizes data, AI, and modern technology to accelerate mission impact. We design and deliver innovative, scalable solutions that empower national defense, strengthen decision-making, and advance operational readiness.
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Team Lead to guide the discovery, validation, and delivery of next-generation Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) capabilities. This role requires a seasoned technology leader experienced in digital transformation, enterprise solution architecture, and AI-enabled sustainment operations within complex DoD environments.
The Product Team Lead will serve as the connective tissue between users, customers, engineering teams, data science, program leadership, and mission stakeholders. You will lead user discovery, define requirements, validate hypotheses, shape the product roadmap, and ensure that Redhorse delivers solutions that directly improve mission readiness and operational outcomes.
This role is pivotal in driving CBM+ product strategy across multiple military organizations and ensuring the solution delivers measurable impact to the warfighter.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead user and customer discovery to deeply understand needs in the CBM and maintenance (Mx) mission space across DoD environments.
- Analyze field-level operations and align insights with higher-level military strategies, including the National Defense Strategy and service-specific priorities.
- Champion data-driven decision-making, guiding the development of value metrics, success criteria, and measurement strategies.
- Advocate for user needs by identifying pain points, prioritizing user experience, and ensuring mission-aligned solution delivery.
- Translate stakeholder insights into clear requirements for engineering, data science, and delivery teams.
- Generate, validate, and communicate hypotheses that drive product direction and capability development.
- Shape engagement strategies—including interviews, studies, surveys, and workshops—to capture meaningful data and cross-validate assumptions.
- Develop, prioritize, and manage use cases, feature proposals, and multi-phase roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
- Foster alignment across a multidisciplinary ecosystem including engineers, data scientists, sustainment SMEs, partners, and government users.
- Support business development and customer engagement by clearly articulating product vision, value, and mission impact.
Required Experience/Clearance
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, mathematics, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Technical Strategy, or similar technology-focused roles.
- Demonstrated experience driving enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and military installations as required.
Desired Experience
- Expertise in product management principles, user research methodologies, and hypothesis-driven development.
- Experience designing or managing enterprise solutions supporting large user bases (500,000+ users).
- Strong analytical skills with experience measuring product performance, feature utilization, and mission value.
- Hands-on experience running user studies, interviews, design sprints, and surveys.
- Background in AI/ML, data science, predictive analytics, or sustainment operations within the DoD.
- Knowledge of CBM+ and predictive maintenance concepts, technologies, and mission workflows.
- Human-centered design, organizational science, or UX research experience.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience with SaaS products, enterprise data pipelines, or business intelligence / analytics platforms.
- Proven ability to influence, build relationships, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Understanding of competitive landscapes, user requirements, and federal enterprise technology environments.
